-About 85% of breast cancers diagnose today can be cure thanks to prevention, treatment and research
-After 27 years of the screening program the data includes 850,000 women, 4.35 million mammograms and 17,500 cancers detect, most in early stages
The Oncology CRO of the Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health, a program to which general practitioners of all health departments have access, allows anyone to heal with a suspicion of cancer be quote and seen in less than 48/72 hours.
The World Day Against Breast Cancer
This was recalling by the Minister of Universal Health and Public Health, on the occasion of the World Day Against Breast Cancer, which is celebrate this Saturday, October 19.
Health has common protocols to address this approach in all health departments and other Oncology CRO Services. “What this initiative aims to do is reduce the response time between the suspicion initiate by a primary care doctor and the diagnostic confirmation in which other professionals participate,” said the Minister of Health.
We also highlight that “fast circuits in oncology are very important so that patients have access to specialize Oncology CRO Services in the shortest possible time, refer by a primary Oncology CRO doctor in the event of a clear suspicion of an Oncology CRO Service process”.
According to the oncologists and researchers
According to the oncologists and researchers, who was head of the Hematology and Oncology Service at the Clinical Hospital, “it is a program that I can say, from my own experience at our Clinical Hospital, that in the first five years of operation, 380 women who were not included due to their age in the screening for breast cancer, were seen in less than that time and 24% of cancers were diagnose in those people with suspect cancer”.
Today breast cancer is not the same as death, because breast cancer has very high chances of being cure. About 85% of breast cancers diagnose today can be cure.
In the Community, approximately 4,000 new cases of breast cancer are diagnose each year because the incidence continues to increase and it is the most frequent cancer in women.
The reason why breast cancer mortality was drop so much is basically due to three reasons:
A model screening program, All Countries, which ware in operation for 27 years, new most effective biological type with fewer side effects that was develop over the last fifteen years – and the Community is one of the communities that has the quickest and easiest access to these new medicines for our patients, and research so important that it has been done in breast cancer”.
To the high cure rate of breast cancer, we must add that “we can treat patients who cannot be cure with quality of life and prolonging life as much as we can”, highlight. “From the Ministry of Health we fight today and every day against breast cancer. Prevention and research are essential to save the lives of many women. Today, and tomorrow, we will continue to fight against cancer”, highlight.

However, mortality from breast cancer was decreasing in recent years due to improvements in early diagnosis and treatment (a decrease of 3% was recording for the period 2007-2016).
